A phonograph or gramophone was a popular consumer product in 1900s. It's used to play a recorded sound which similar to a radio nowadays.

Buddenbrooks was the first novel from Thomas Mann which published in 1901. This novel connects 20th century with 19th century, and also received the Novel price in Liturature in 1929.

Plabo Picasso started this paint in France, and finished in 1907. This paint represents five prostitude in which Picasso particularly painted them using variety stlyes of art.

Before the 1900s, copying used to be done by hand. The photostat machine or the photocopy machine was developed to satisfy the needs of industrial growth. This machine was very useful at the time. It was easier, faster, and also allowed us to have a greater number of pages copying.








The Panama canal is the major ship canal that connect the gulf of panama with the Caribbean Sea. It is considered the most difficult constructing project ever had at the time. This canal made the trading between the Pacific and Atlantic ocean much more pleasant.

Sigmund Freud is known as the father of psychoanalysis for he was the founder of psychoanalytic school of psychology. Ovrille and Wilber Wright lead us a way to the sky road. They made the first controlled, powered, continuous flight which used a vehical that weight more than air. Their accomplishment had a great influence on our modern avaition.

Queen Victoria was the Queen of United kingdom as well as the first Empress of India. Her reign last from June 20, 1837 - Jan 22, 1901 which was the longest reign in the history of United Kingdom. British Empire became a global power and reached its vertex.

In the pass, car usually built by hands. Therefore, there were very few number of it. Along with its prize, really expensive, very few people were able to afford one. But this event allowed us to able to build a larger quantity of cars with the help of machines. It was really essential for our nowaday life, because it is now our primary transportation.

Boxer Rebellion, 1900

The boxer rebellion took place in China. The Chinese in those time saw western peoples as barbarians. There were more than 10,000 peoples including the chinese who believed in Christianity get killed in these event. But it ended after 20,000 troops from allies of European countries. This event is important because it allowed foreign troops to stay in order to protect their people in China.

For me this is one of the most interesting event of this decade. This quake happened on April 18 at 5:18 a.m. and only lasted for ONE minute. As you can see that though it lasted for a very short period of time, it left us a great destruction. It concerned us, human, that we should not overlook nature and should take them seriously for the sake of safety.
