This was a poster from 1918 after the WW1. Sitting on the top was the Tsar wearing his premium cloth with the priest bending over above his right shoulder. Standing at the back with a whip and a huge bloody blade was the noble. Skeleton-like people underneath them represent the labor, carrying them through the most desperate land, with a fleet of bats flied above behind them. This scene showed how bad the living-condition of the laboring class after the First World War. This harsh condition influenced people to support the revolution.

This poster gave us an image of Stalin working in the Kremlin. The clock tower outside the window told that it was five minutes past midnight already, still Stalin was sitting down, concentrated in his work. The view of Stalin working hard through the night made people believed that Stalin cares for them, and though he might not come out from the Kremlin, they still can be sure that he worked hard for them.

The buildings and farms at the back told that this economic plan applied in both sides of economy, industry and agriculture. The expression of happiness shown on each character face told how happy they were. Picture of children drinking and man relaxing told us that the condition in a collective farm was not harsh. The message that this poster gave was that the condition in one of the Five-year plan project was not bad. Peasants lived and worked happily without any kind of problem.

The man stood in the middle, raising his hand was Stalin. The position he stood, leading a million of people behind gave us an idea of how great Stalin was. Beside him stood a priest, a prince, business men, a monk and other high class nobles and above them shown a map of Russia. The main massage that this poster gave was that under Stalin’s great leadership, we could achieve Communism.

This picture was published in 1938. It gives a large, clear image of Stalin over the celebrating parade with a background of airplanes and soldiers. Underneath the picture said “Long Live the great Stalin!” By the size of each figure, it is clearly states that Stalin held the highest power. The parade below gives us an explanation of happiness, Stalin had brought to them. The soldiers and militaries at the back tell the status of Russia army, that it is fully prepared. The overall of the poster gives us an expression of perfection under the control of Stalin.
The posters tell that in the beginning, Russia was lack of a responsible leader until Stalin came into power. As the result of WWI, the economic of Russia was in a severe condition. Stalin had thought about it and came up with new economic plan, the Five-Year Plan. Though it helped improved their economy, the people still disbelieved in the government for the rumors of their true, harsh condition. Therefor, the propaganda were used to gain support from the people.
